Institute for the Handicapped and Backward People (IHBP) is pleased to inform that it organized a Camp and distributed Relief Materials/Dry Ration comprising Rice, Mustard Oil, Potato, Pulses and other Essential commodities among disabled, needy, poorest and most vulnerable communities affected due to the Pandemic-Covid-19 (Corona Virus) and Super Cyclone YAAS at Sehara Radhanagar Gram Panchayat, Hingalganj under Basirhat Sub Division in the District of North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Our Organization held the Camp on  24th May to 6th June 2021. We had prior taken permission from authorities towards the same. The Camp was held under the supervision of Sariful Phakir We had requisite 10 Volunteers in assisting Sariful Phakir. Name of volunteers are Joy Krishna Mondal, Ariful Islam Mondal, Sujata Mondal, Hiramati Khatun, Mahruf Molla Gazi, Joy Chakraborty, Anasahrul Bibi, Taleni Bibi, Aleya Newa, Araful Gaine. All the volunteers worked without monetary benefits. We provided Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Snacks apart from Tea and Biscuit to all the volunteers on all the days of the camp.

Our Organization is working in this field since long and has the expertise, experience and manpower. We have volunteers who have prior experience in Disaster management and have worked during Cyclone Aila which struck the area in the year 2009. Before commencement of Dry Ration we have minutely worked towards identification and selection of the beneficiaries of this Program. We have selected beneficiaries who were in need of Dry Ration the most. Most of the beneficiaries are from disabled families and others comprises of Widow, Aged, People having no ration card, not received relief from government or have received inadequate relief and among the socio-economically weaker section of the People.
